Dear Penguins, I'm happy to announce a big update, coming to KitMap this saturday. We worked hard on this, and it will hopefully allow us to hold more players on KitMap as the current version is a bit unstable. Countdown: https://itsalmo.st/kitmap-release-ckyj Features: Special Items: We'll be adding special items like grapple hook (without a class connected), bombs, switch balls and more. These will be available from crates, quests and of course the store. Bounties: We'll also be adding bounties to KitMap, most people know what this is but here's a quick explanation: if you really want someone to the ground, you can set a price on a player's skull. Which means you can pay 1000$ to put 1000$ on someone's head and his killer will get the 1000$ or a slightly reduced amount. Conquest: Conquest will be an actual active thing to KitMap now, we're not 100% sure what the rewards will be but they'll be good! DTC: DTC will be a new event which basically is a koth, but instead of standing on a place you have to mine a block. Once you mine a block (and there-by receive points) enough times you will win the DTC event. Leader boards: For this update we've actually planned visible leader boards in spawn. Crates & Drops revamp: As these have been the same for many days, we'll fully re-do the crates and also change supply drops. Quests: To bring some more fun, and possibilities to achieve store items. We will be introducing quests, with this you can receive keys, tokens, items and more to use. Changes: There'll be some big changes to KitMap which aren't fully noticable once you log in to the server, for example we'll be changing our factions software completely, which will result in way better performance and database storing for factions, player stats and more. With this we can do cool stuff in the future like website leader boards and more. We'll also be having koth(s) outside of the warzone, to bring a bit more hard-to-capture koth's. Also we'll most likely be disabling Strength from beacons. More: These are the main things, but there'll be more to this update. Trust me Yours, Cold Team.
